Capcom’s Online Program for Tokyo Game Show 2024 has come and gone, offering extensive new gameplay for Monster Hunter Wilds. The overview trailer also details everything about the game, from embarking on Expeditions to hunting monsters and teaming with other players. Check it out below.
Monster Hunter Wilds occurs in the Forbidden Lands, with the Research Commission dispatching a fleet to investigate its mysteries. Players quickly become embroiled in a hunt for Arkveld, otherwise known as the White Wraith. In a shift from previous titles, Wilds allows players to set up camp anywhere and hunt monsters consecutively without returning to base.
The tenets of slaying and carving targets for materials to craft and upgrade weapons and armor are still the same. While you can send out an SOS to other players to help, there’s also an offline option for teaming with friendly NPCs. Unlike Monster Hunter Rise, players can have up to three AI teammates to assist them.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches on February 28th, 2025, for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
