While Baldur’s Gate 3 has been a major success, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 players will have more to look forward to from Larian Studios. As discovered by Gematsu, PEGI rated Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Definitive Edition for current-gen platforms. The release date is anyone’s guess, but given the proximity of the rating to The Game Awards, perhaps it will be a stealth drop.
Available for PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One, the Definitive Edition offers numerous improvements, over 130,000 words of new story content, more quests, an improved Epilogue, rebalanced combat encounters, and much more. Subsequent “gift bag” updates added new content like powerful new armor sets called the Four Relics of Rivellon, stronger summons, a combat randomizer, and more.
It remains to be seen if the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 editions will have the Sir Lora DLC from the outset or any new features and content. Stay tuned for updates, and check out our reasons to play the Definitive Edition, even if you’ve already cleared the original.
