Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Guide – Here’s How to Level Up All Player Skills and Statistics

Unlike most RPGs, stats and skills in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 are not raised by simply adding points gained during leveling up but are instead increased through actions specific to that particular stat or skill. These actions are usually intuitive, but others may not be readily apparent to players.

This KCD2 guide is about everything you can do to level up stats and skills in the game.

Main Level

Main Level is increased by simply improving the other stats. Leveling them leads to a corresponding rise to this overall stat.

Strength

The simple method to increase Strength is to overburden yourself and walk around in that state. Melee combat, including unarmed and parrying, is the more dangerous method, with heavy, high Strength weapons accelerating the gain.

Agility

Prowling certain areas in stealth mode and performing stealth attacks will raise Agility, as will overt combat using light, high Agility weapons. Evading incoming attacks is another method to improve Agility.

Vitality

High-energy motion such as sprinting, vaulting, and combat will improve Vitality.

Speech

Social activity such as conversing with NPCs and opening up the dialogue tree will level up Speech, as will books.

Stamina

This stat is closely related to Vitality, with status effects like poison and fatigue having an effect as well. Some Perks can contribute.

Health

This is merely a meter and cannot be raised higher than its maximum, but can lower and be refilled through rest and activity.

Energy

This is merely a meter and cannot be raised higher than its maximum, but can lower and be refilled through rest and activity.

Nourishment

A simplified survival meter that represents how sated or famished you are. Eat to raise it, and it will lower as time goes by. Eat to excess (over 100) and it will have a negative effect on Stamina. Eating too little (under 50) can also reduce your overall effectiveness, and become an audible hindrance while sneaking.

Charisma

Has a social impact, possibly on dialogue as well, and is determined by outerwear, accessories, cleanliness, and perfume.

Conspicuousness

Affects Stealth, and can be modified by changing clothing. Low Conspicuousness is required to simply walk by unnoticed.

Visibility

Affects Stealth, and can be modified by changing clothing and avoiding environmental brightness. Low Visibility is ideal for sneaking, so wear dark clothing and stick to the shadows.

Noise

Clunky armor and weaponry is loud, and makes stealth difficult, so lighten your load before attempting to sneak around.

Speed

While Strength and Agility play a primary role in calculating Speed, clothing is a major factor as well. The lighter the costume, the quicker the pace.

Persuasion

Calculated from Speech and Charisma stats, combined with clothing and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue.

Coercion

Calculated from Speech and Charisma stats, combined with clothing and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue.

Impression

Calculated from Speech and Charisma stats, combined with clothing and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue.

Domination

Calculated from Speech and Charisma stats, combined with clothing and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue.

Presence

Based on Strength, Agility, and Vitality stats, combined with armor, weaponry, and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue.

Intimidation

Based on Strength, Agility, and Vitality stats, combined with armor, weaponry, and reputation, and has an impact on NPC interaction and dialogue. The general visible state of your attire is also a factor, such as dirt and bloodstains.

Craftsmanship

Practice smithing weapons and their maintenance through sharpening and repair. Washing clothes will raise this as well.

Horsemanship

Simply riding around outside of fast travel will slowly raise this skill.

Houndmaster

Feeding and caring for the dog and making use of its abilities will lead to gains for this skill.

Stealth

Any kind of stealthy activity from sneaking to stealth attacks, and lockpicking to pickpocketing will improve Stealth. Even crouching down besides people while remaining undetected can contribute.

Survival

Outdoorsman activities like herb-collecting, hunting and gutting animals, cooking or processing their meat, as well as exploring points of interest in the wild will raise Survival.

Thievery

Closely related to Stealth activities, those same actions will help raise Thievery as well. Loot value and quantity, as well as higher lock difficulty can accelerate these gains.

Warfare

Any and all manner of combat actions will raise Warfare.

Swords

Specific use of swords, short or long or in-between, in combat will improve this stat.

Heavy Weapons

Exclusive use of heavy weapons such as clubs and axes in combat will raise this.

Polearms

Using spears and some two-handed weapons from other classes will improve polearms.

Unarmed

Bare handed fist fighting in combat or competition or casually, will all raise unarmed combat skill.

Marksmanship

Use of ranged weaponry, even outside of formal combat such as in tournaments or while hunting, will increase this.

That is how to improve or impact all stats and skills in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
