Intel just dropped a new Arc graphics driver, and it comes with game-ready support for the huge Grand Theft Auto 5 Enhanced update, coming to PC on March 4.
Among the other games receiving game-ready support in this Intel update is Monster Hunter Wilds, which is struggling with performance issues on PC right now. You can follow our Monster Hunter Wilds best settings guides to try and avoid the same problems we encountered throughout testing.
Game-ready support for upcoming games FragPunk and Split Fiction also features in the release. Big improvements to game performance on Intel Arc B-series GPUs are also included, with Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Black Myth Wukong, and Monster Hunter Wilds all receiving at least 5% frame rate boosts to high setting performance.
The most exciting part of this driver update, however, is the GTA 5 Enhanced support. This massive game update is arriving on March 4 and will bring all content from the next-gen console update to Los Santos, as well as a few other exciting extras, such as Microsoft DirectStorage. While Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR are also being added to the game, Intel’s XeSS remains absent.
As is the case with any Intel driver update, the list of ongoing issues is also updated, and it’s disappointing to see that only one issue has been fixed since the last update. This issue is Terraria showing “flickering corruptions” when in full-screen mode on Intel Arc B-series GPUs.
This means the ongoing issues with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Cyberlink Power Director, and Davinci Resolve are set to continue until at least the next driver update.
