The March Humble Choice games are here, and there are some real hidden gems for Steam Deck among them. While there is an absence of any triple-A big hitters in this month’s lineup, the selection of smaller or indie games is ideal for Valve’s handheld.
All but one of this month’s games are rated verified or playable for the best handheld gaming PC, but even the one game that is classed as “Unsupported” still works great after a few settings tweaks. The Steam Deck continues to be a leader in the handheld market, and even though we’re waiting for more news on a Steam Deck 2, the current model still has more than enough power to tackle many modern games.
For the low $11.99 / £8.99 cost, you can save $234.48 / £216.11 against the full price of these games on Steam. There is no membership obligation, meaning you can pay for one month of Humble Choice, claim your games, and cancel your subscription at any time – the games are yours to keep forever. If a new set of games arrives that you don’t like, or perhaps you own many of them already, you can also opt to skip a month but keep your subscription active.
The March 2025 Humble Choice Games are:
- Pacific Drive Full Content Edition – Steam Deck Playable
- Homeworld 3 – Steam Deck Playable
- Tales of Kenzera: Zau – Steam Deck Verified
- Gravity Circuit – Steam Deck Verified
- Sir Whoopass – Steam Deck Verified
- Racine – Steam Deck Playable
- Cavern of Dreams – Steam Deck Playable
- Wild Hearts – Unsupported but works great with settings changes
Pacific Drive is one of the most distinctive survival games in recent memory. Rather than relying on a standard craft-and-progress gameplay loop, you instead tackle unstable world elements by improving your car to make it from point to point. This is also a single-player-only experience, so there is some real depth to the storytelling, and it can be played at your own pace.
There is a charm to Pacific Drive, and you really need to play it for yourself to see why. Admittedly it can take longer for some people to appreciate this game, but once it clicks, you’ll sink hours into this 90s-themed mechanical crafting adventure and all the DLC that comes with it.
In a complete change of pace, the next game I want to highlight is Sir Whoopass. This meme-filled comedy trip takes aim at super-serious RPGs by cranking the ridiculousness up to 11. Just try and find another game where you encounter enemies like “The IRS Guy” and play mini-games such as Flappy Knight. Sir Whoopass isn’t meant to be taken seriously, and this laugh-a-minute adventure is a great game to play when you just want to switch off your brain.
Finally, I highly recommend Gravity Circuit. While it might sound like an F-Zero rip-off, it’s instead more akin to a charming futuristic sci-fi version of Shovel Knight. It has challenging platforming that’s rewarding to master, and you’ll meet a fun cast of characters along the way. My only complaint is that the game is too short, with only 12 stages to complete.
